There was no way EvilEnglish and the locksmith were going to let up until the safe was unlocked. Eventually, after many hours of hammering and chipping away at the concrete, they uncovered the lock. The safe will be opened sooner or later; it was just a question of how.
After many more hours of diligent work, it seemed that a way in to the safe had been discovered.
