Panhandling
Panhandling is a term commonly used in America to describe the action of begging on the street. Panhandling derives from the impression of people holding out their hand to collect donations or from the image of people holding using pans to do the same thing. Although it is not illegal in many states, panhandling on busy intersections is prohibited.
