Trapped
The littlest calf of the entire herd was just one-sixth the size of a fully grown adult. When its group was crossing the river together, the baby lost its balance, slipped, and fell into the space between the river and the land.
Getting out was no easy task. It was still a few feet from the riverbank, and the ground was full of mud, leaving the baby stuck and barely able to move. Because of their sheer size, not one from the herd could help, nor did it seem like they knew how. Saving the baby elephant from eventual drowning was paramount — but how?
