The Ground Opens
Mike found the site the same way he left it. He was ready to get back to digging, although he was feeling some trepidation this time around. As he uncovered more of this strange object, he noticed something. There appeared to be a hole beneath the chain. He plunged his spade into the opening and gasped when it hit empty air. Then he felt himself falling.
