Liberty’s right foot is raised higher than the other, but for what reason? Keeping with the statue’s overall theme, it is a symbol of the continuous pursuit of true freedom.
But on that particular day, Lucas noticed something on that foot that he’d never spotted before. The sight would send him on a journey of elaborate investigation.
It would involve not only Liberty’s faithful guards but the police, too.
