The 40-by-30-inch oil canvas, named “Woman Ochre,” was stolen the day after Thanksgiving in 1985. 27 years before, the painting had been donated to the Tucson museum.

Back then, there weren’t any cameras in the museum. An unidentified pair composed of a man and a woman successfully managed to take the painting from the museum without getting caught.
