Man Grabs Camera Instead Of Running When Ground Shakes

Elephants are majestic animals with imposing stature. The gaze of an elephant draws you in, allowing you to peer into their thoughts and emotions.

Doctor Kieran had no idea when he got that early call that he was about to face something so heartbreaking, but with the aid of his colleagues, he was able to overcome it. They were able to transform a near-death event into a story of survival.

Kieran Avery was a Kenyan doctor, conservationist, and veterinarian who has devoted his entire life to the preservation and conservation of elephants. These majestic creatures are endangered and Dr. Avery aims to remove them from the list.

Whenever an animal needs to be rescued, Dr. Avery and his trusty staff are only a phone call away. They have a couple of elephant rescue operations planned to help those stuck in muddy waters.

Difficulty Getting Out

Kenya frequently experiences long periods of rain which causes water bodies to fill to the brim. Due to this, any animal or person who walks in the surrounding areas is at risk of slipping in the mud.

Once the rain stops, the neighborhood near the dam keeps an eye out for any elephants caught in the mud.

Elephants’ limbs are so stiff that moving out of these muddy regions is extremely challenging for them. Some are saved in time, but others abandon the will to struggle and succumb to death.

An Animal In Need Of Help

Villagers always go out to look for animals who are stuck in the mud after heavy rains. One afternoon, they spotted a female elephant who was in immediate need of help. She was in a muddy area right next to the dam.

The elephant had been mired in the mud for about two days and was unresponsive. They did not attempt to save the elephants themselves because they lacked the skills of Dr. Avery and his colleagues. So naturally, they contacted Dr. Avery immediately.

She Kept Going

It was speculated that the elephant had been immobilized for almost two days, but it could have been for much longer. The elephant was completely depleted, fatigued, and in pain.

Regardless of the dire situation, the elephant persevered. She was using her trunk as a breathing instrument as well as a weapon to beat off assailants or other creatures who might try to harm it.
