Different Emotions
Alicia Danielle spent the better part of her life working at a pawnshop. She spent years observing customers behind the counter and thought that she had seen everything. She had seen people’s eyes filled with desperation as she tallied their purpose. She had seen women shed a tear as they pawned a sentimental piece of jewelry just to make ends meet.
It was an emotional job, but she learned to harden over time. She could not cry for every customer who desperately needed money, she would never be able to get through the day! She needed this job more than anything.
