Mason trudges back, dejected. He had hoped to meet the woman again, but fate had other plans. Now, he wonders if she feels disappointment or relief. He regrets not being there to explain and hopes she will forgive him and give him a chance to explain. He resolves to find her, no matter what it takes. He can only hope that she will understand.
