No Gardener Around
Mason arrives at the park, relieved but guilty. He scans the area, looking for the gardener, and cautiously moves forward, his heart pounding. He hurries across the grass, feeling watched, and ducks behind a tree. He races towards the woman and her son, his crutches clacking. He quickens his pace as he nears the swings and slides, anxiously searching for them. He’s close now and takes a deep breath.
