The Confession
“I’m sorry,” Sarah said, looking down at her feet. “I didn’t know how to tell you.”
“Tell me what?” John demanded, his heart racing.
“I’m transgender,” Sarah said, her voice barely above a whisper.
John froze. He had never expected that. He didn’t know what to say or how to react. He sat there, staring at her, trying to process what she had just told him.
