Being Gentle
Paul made sure to be gentle with the animal. He slowly and carefully got closer to it and bent down, testing its reaction to his presence. It didn’t seem too scared of him, so he gently placed his hands under its hind legs.
Once he had scooped it up, he walked across the road and into the woods, but that was when the fawn began to struggle.
