Her Audacity
“Is there something I can help you with?” Max inquired politely of the woman. His neighbor gave him a blank stare for a few seconds before erupting. “You’re the one waking me up every morning when you get back from your parties!”
Max was shocked by the woman’s audacity. “Ma’am, I’m not going to parties. I work a graveyard shift, and that’s the time I get back from work,” he said firmly. But his explanation didn’t suffice for her. She obviously knew nothing about him.
