Barely Scraping By
The following week was relatively uneventful. Max spent all of his time working and still barely scraped by to pay for his basic needs, slumping into bed every morning, totally exhausted.
In the meantime, his neighbor was quietly simmering in her anger. Max was oblivious to the incident he would inadvertently trigger, which would have a disastrous outcome.
