A Different Route
Max was certain there was a different route that wouldn’t involve aggression or hostility. He turned around and headed back to Jeffrey, who still stood on the grass, thanking him for telling him what had really happened.
Then, Max headed back to his own home and checked what time it was. He still had plenty of time to start scheming before leaving for work. A sly smile spread across his face as he considered his options.
