Messiest BreakUps People Have Experienced

16. Young And Awkward

When I was 14, I was in a “relationship” with a friend, which only erupted from peer pressure. (Because a boy and a girl can’t spend time together without it leading somewhere….ahh, kids)

Anyway, we were both very shy and after about a week or so, it simply wasn’t working out. A group of us were at her house (she was the well-off one in our group, so we usually hung out in her witchin’ house).

Suddenly, as we were chillin’ out on bean bags by the pool table, she told everyone but me to step out for a bit. I had a sense of what was coming, and, yep, I’m getting dumped.

Just as the deed was getting done and all the feelings started welling up, what booms out the radio but

“ME AND YOU BABY AIN’T NOTHIN BUT MAMMALS

SO LET’S DO IT LIKE WE DO ON THE DISCOVERY CHANNEL.”

Since then, that song has had a special memory for me whenever I hear it.
