We broke up a year ago but spent the year trying to fix things. She kept pulling away slowly but steadily until I was left chasing a girl who seemed to only want me for a company to do bf things without having to be a bf. Dinners and markets and concerts, stuff like that.
When I finally said, “Enough, I’m out,” she told me she thought I was going to be the one, leaving me even more confused that a girl could both think that and not want to be with me.
