51. Saw The Pain Coming
I dated a foreign exchange student. The problem with dating a foreign exchange student is that they eventually leave. You are both aware of the end approaching and do everything you can to not think of it until the day comes when they have to leave.
The opera Tristan und Isolde comes to mind. Neither of us wanted to separate. We were great together, but we had to. It felt like she died.
It has been 8 years now and I cannot bring myself to date anyone else.
I think about her every day.
