64. Past Hurts Like Heck
I know it sounds stupid because it was “only a distance relationship,” but I was still in love, so I guess that counts.
My first-ever girlfriend (distance relationship when I was around 13) hung around with her ex a lot, and I didn’t like it since they’d previously been one of those couples who would break up and get back together every other week.
I made her promise me that she wouldn’t hang out with him anymore, and she used him to cheat on me several times afterward. The worst part is that she gave this guy my number, and he ended up sending me my girlfriend’s undressed photos while saying, “I just slept with your girl. How do you feel?”
I ended up immediately breaking up and blocking her number/every social media she had.
Similar things happened to me in two more relationships, and nowadays, I’m unable to build up emotional relationships as a result.
