Chris realized that he would have to come up with a good plan if he wanted to find out what was going on with his daughter.
If he was too harsh, his daughter would withdraw and never tell the truth. But if he was too gentle, she might never understand the need to open up to him. He would have to find the perfect middle ground.
Luckily, his military experience meant he had been forced to deal with precarious scenarios before.
