Incredulity rendered John speechless. He was embarrassed that he had allowed a harsh guy to operate one of his eateries for so long. The real him wanted to come out right then and there, but he restrained himself.
He needed to continue with the experiment and would deal with the employee later. John, however, had his hopes dashed. If his life had begun so poorly, would he ever meet someone deserving of his wealth?
