Everyone enjoys happy endings, and for Stu and Kris, one seemed conceivable. The only issue was that Stu’s one minor lie had given rise to numerous further lies, which were now piled on top of his existence.
He would lie about his family every time Kris asked about them. She thought his parents were a miserable couple from New Jersey. But eventually, all of his falsehoods would come back to haunt him, exposing an even greater secret that would have him inconsolable.
