“I’ve been expecting you, you know?” the old lady said to Maggie.
“What do you mean?” Maggie asked, confused.
“Well, I’ve always figured someone would come asking about that family from next door, especially after what happened.” Maggie was very intrigued. There was clearly more to this story.
“Can I ask what happened to them?”
