Katy wiped at the tears that were streaming down her face. She held the phone tightly against her ear as she spoke to her sister, and revealed the secret she had been keeping for 10 years now. She never ever wanted anyone to know about this. But just after the words left her mouth, she heard heard something that sent a cold shiver down her spine, “I can still hear you.”
She turned around to see that her husband was still on the zoom call, and she could see the sadness and confusion on his face. What kind of mother was she, to keep a secret like this? She was caught out and there was no coming back from it.
