Carrie was required to create historical fiction per the conditions of her contract. She chose ancient Rome as her backdrop because she was already a fan of the genre.
The Romans had always piqued Carrie’s interest. Despite her extensive knowledge of the subject, she immediately realized that her story required more detailed elements. So began her quest for the novel that would permanently alter her perspective on life.
