Mom Finds Old Book Then Gets Call From Feds

For the past month, she’d been experiencing a creative block with her manuscript. Her deadline was nearing, and she knew that if she didn’t write the proposal for her work on time, her entire book contract would be jeopardized.

She flipped through the new novels she’d picked up at a wholesale book sale. She chose one of the novels from among the others since it piqued her curiosity. She threw it to the floor after discovering what was inside.

Publishing Deal

Carrie, a resident from San Antonio, Texas, was a first-time author. She had recently graduated from university, and she was fortunate enough to get an offer for a publishing deal due to short stories she had written during her college years.

Carrie’s publisher was so delighted with her writing that he asked if she could write an entire book if she were ready for it. Carrie signed the contract knowing it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. She had no idea how much of an influence it would have on her professional life.

Carrie was a single mother to Damian and a fan of fictional realms and characters. Her son was at the heart of just about everything she did, including the collection that got her a book deal.

She was hell-bent on providing him the most remarkable life she could, and this book would assist her in that endeavor. She got right to work, collecting all she needed to write a perfect story.

Developing The Ideal Story

Carrie was required to create historical fiction per the conditions of her contract. She chose ancient Rome as her backdrop because she was already a fan of the genre.

The Romans had always piqued Carrie’s interest. Despite her extensive knowledge of the subject, she immediately realized that her story required more detailed elements. So began her quest for the novel that would permanently alter her perspective on life.

Looking For Information

Carrie begins to seek literature to help her learn more about the Roman Empire. At first, YouTube videos were informative, but she’d rapidly gone through the majority of them.

She made her way to the library to see if anything would satisfy her requirements. The discovery was unsatisfactory. A biannual warehouse book sale, which was just across the block, was one last destination that rarely disappointed her.

Carrie went to the market and bought a few books for her assignment.
