Melissa stood to the side, looking upset, while Derek comforted Maddie. As far as Maddie was concerned, Melissa wasn’t welcome around her.
Sarah was now in a state of panic. Did Melissa do something to Maddie? Did she break her trust? After watching for a while, she saw Derek put his arms around Melissa and hug both of them.
