She Refused
Whenever Marvin had any off days, Jaylesya would refuse to let him drive her to work. He was puzzled by this. Why on earth would she want to walk for 12 miles if she didn’t have to? The road she walked on was old and dusty, it certainly wasn’t a pleasant walk.
Whenever he got back from the night shift, he would tell her, “It must be really tiring to walk all the way there. Let me drive you over there, I ain’t working anyway.” But she always refused and happily got on her way. But why was she refusing?
