Mom Thought She Was Carrying Twins But Her Belly Would Not Stop Growing

Shaniece was 21-years-old when she decided that she would be a surrogate. However, she never saw this coming.

Shaniece’s eyes trained from the monitor to her larger stomach. She knew something was up, her stomach had become huge during her second trimester. She couldn’t remember the last time she wasn’t hungry. Her back always hurt and she didn’t feel right.

Normal Symptoms

The nurse gently applied the jelly to her stomach and placed the small instrument against her skin as she explained, “These symptoms are absolutely normal for a first pregnancy.”

She held her breath and waited in anticipation as a black and grey blur was seen on the screen. “Is everything okay?” It was then that the nurse quickly called for a doctor.

Young Love

From a very young age, Shaniece knew that she someday wanted her own family. Her parents had been happily together since they were sixteen, and her older sister got married to her long-term boyfriend right after they finished school.

Shaniece never could have imagined the amount of pain she would witness so early into their marriage.

Leaving Home

When Shaniece was 14-years-old, Linda left their childhood home to move in with her partner. She would no longer have to constantly deal with how demanding she was and all of her bickering.

She expected things to be easier now that she could focus on herself a lot more.

Drifting Apart

She soon realized how quiet her home was without her. She couldn’t believe it, but she missed all of the fights. They would see each other over the weekends, but she knew that they were drifting from one another. It was then that she decided that she would catch the bus to see her older sister.

She had no idea how she would find her sister.
