Breasta’s employees wanted to help Kayne but did not want to get too close to him. Due to his physical problems, it was difficult to do much. It was also evident that he had suffered serious trauma.
It was impossible to predict how he would react to human contact because of the psychological consequences of this experience. As a result, staff had to take precautions when around him. One caretaker, however, refused to heed the warnings.
