Respectacles
Webspinner202 shared her experience as a student teacher. During 6th period, she was responsible for lunch duty. The school where she worked had two periods allocated for lunch.
The boys and girls of each grade do not eat lunch at the same time, when one group eats lunch, the other partakes in activities. The children choose their lunch tables and it seems to the user that after a few weeks that the students have official lunch tables. One day during her lunch duty, she noticed a table of six girls and all of them wore glasses. These girls were known to be good hardworking students.
She thought that it was so interesting, she tried to give the table a nickname. She pondered for a few minutes until a student approached her and asked her if everything was okay. She shared that she was thinking of a nickname but “The Respectacles” wasn’t cutting it for her.
The children loved the combination of respect and spectacles! A few days after she shared the new nickname, the table called her over and yelled “Respectacles!”. The group of girls even wanted the user to purchase her own glasses so that she could be part of the group! How sweet.
