Finally Found Them
Betty felt relieved when she at last heard Layla’s voice coming from the room in front of her. When she arrived, she became aware that she wasn’t the only person there because she could hear the voice of another man. She appeared disoriented and irate as she peered through the door of the private room; her hair appeared unruly; and she overheard her discussing a document and the reason she hadn’t signed it yet. She heard Layla mention she planned to sign the agreement after the wedding, which piqued her interest in the one they were discussing.
