Houston, We Have a Problem
In 1970, astronaut Jack Swigert contacted NASA Mission Control Center and said, “Okay, Houston, we’ve had a problem here.” This was later misquoted as “Houston, we have a problem,” in the 1995 film “Apollo 13” starring Tom Hanks. But what exactly had gone wrong aboard the Apollo 13 that had forced Swigert to send out a distress call to Earth all those years ago?
