The peace returned later in the afternoon, and Alicia was happy. But her mood would not last very long, for she discovered her youngest son was feeling ill that evening.
He complained of chest pains, and she felt the heat radiating off him because of his fever. The sky started darkening, and it wasn’t long before things worsened for Alicia. Her neighbors would soon be on her list of problems.
