John allowed them to tamper with his garden without complaining. The completed work was aesthetically pleasing. And he had no problem with them doing minor repairs about the home. For as long as it brought people joy, he had no problem with it; but, there was one item nobody could touch or even interact with, and the locals were becoming bored of it.
