They piled into the tow vehicle, all of their attention focused in the same direction. The truck was started softly, and the downward slope of the roadway was used to silently propel the vehicle. They gave up and pulled up to the curb to park. They had to be careful not to leave a trail in the grass, as the fugitive couldn’t afford to be caught.
