When I was a kid, our next door neighbor decided to sell his house. One day, my father found him outside marking the property boundaries for a fence but he was way off the line. After a bit of a heated discussion, that neighbor, my father, and another neighbor with abutting land agreed to hired a professional to mark them.

The surveyor marked the line about twenty feet into the neighbor’s land on all sides and just over a hundred feet in the back wooded areas.
