He took a flashlight and looked into the hole he had made. He recoiled back at the horror he’d just witnessed. His house had a few things to hide.

Jonathan Lewis was beyond happy when he purchased his new home in Walton, Liverpool.

The 32-year-old elementary school teacher found it hard to save up the money but managed to get himself a new home. He worked hard for over a decade but now had his dream in sight. At least that’s what he thought.

Ambitions

Dreaming of owning a house is a lot of young people’s ultimate goal in life. When he finally had his dream become a reality – couldn’t hold back the emotion he felt.

He unlocked the door to his new house and walked in. He absolutely loved every single aspect of the house, but it was hiding something.

Too Good To Be True

Lewis’ favorite part of the home was that he didn’t have to make any renovations. It seemed like a dream come true, but maybe it was too good to be true.

“There was a wire coming out where the previous owners had the fridge but I didn’t know where the wire was plugged in so I knocked through a bit of the plasterboard to see what was there”, Lewis remembers.

Sleepless Nights

Lewis started moving everything into his new house and it seemed to go as smoothly as he could have hoped. But then the fatigue came.

He woke up each day and felt as if he hadn’t slept a wink. What was making him so tired?
