Gibson and Schecter Headstocks Are Interchangeable
Gibson and Schecter are two separate brands of guitars, but as this guitarist discovered, their headstocks or pegheads were interchangeable. Now the primary function of a headstock is to house the pegs or mechanism that holds the strings at the head of the guitar. And generally, every brand has their own style of headstocks. But Schecter’s headstocks were so similar that they simply inverted theirs so that they would seem different from Gibson’s headstocks. This was probably a smart move as they avoided getting sued by Gibson.
