Poisoned
As it turned out, Peter and his daughter were framed by a young man, who had stalked Peter’s daughter for years. He realized the importance of Peter’s reputation as a vet, and poisoned Angie, as he knew this was the horse of one of Peter’s regular clients. He hoped to grow closer to Peter’s daughter by getting her father arrested. The stalker was arrested, and Harry and Peter became friends after all.
