Hopeless

She had been in the hospital for five days before they told her that her recovery would take six months to a year. She felt hopeless then, but she thought of her children. She had to be strong for them because they needed her.
“I felt everyone’s eyes on me when I was in the wheelchair for the first time. I felt ashamed of my body,” she said. She admitted that she was at such a low point in her life that she thought about ending her life. “I didn’t have much of a will to live.”
