“Dear Sarah,” the letter began, each word seeping with regret. Martha’s words painted a picture of recognition, realization, and redemption. “We’ve come to see how wrong we were,” Martha confessed, her words tinged with sorrow. “If there’s a place in your heart, even a tiny one, could we start over?” The plea was palpable. An apology from parents never comes easy and its even harder to receive.
