A Sad Farewell
When the day arrived for Brooks to depart to training in Texas, it was a heartbreaking farewell. The loyal soldier said goodbye to his wife, who was seven months pregnant with their little girl, and then got on the plane to the new chapter in his military career.
Although they were separated by many many miles, Brooks and Haley refused to lose touch with their other halves. They had devised a plan to maintain as much normality as possible and do their best to communicate regularly.
FaceTime played a major role in their lives while they got ready for the exciting arrival.
