Running Late
When they eventually landed in El Paso, Brooks immediately rushed to his connecting flight, only to be met with bad news. The flight was running two hours late. Getting to Haley before the birth was over was becoming less likely by the second.
His thoughts were all over the place. Had something bad happened? He needed to get there ASAP. He was supposed to keep his family safe, but he couldn’t do anything from miles away.
He decided to try FaceTime again and was relieved when his mom answered.
