A Big Fall
My mother and I enjoyed hiking with her friends, and we considered ourselves more experienced than many of their counterparts. Our excitement at discovering a new trail was contagious. Our path was soaked from rain the night before, and we were warned to be careful, yet we did not heed the warning.
My mother slipped and fell on her back while we were climbing. As I attempted to reach her, I also fell. As a result, we both ended ourselves on our backs, coated in muck.
