60. Getting Humbled
I worked as an “escalations manager” for insurance. We changed our policies after people were screwing the system – they’d join, serve the grace period, claim $10-20k, and then drop the cover.
We closed the loophole and the number of people who called up and flipped their crap was disgusting. When I called people out on their plan to screw the system, they get really quiet and they tone it down.
Until then, however, god damn, people act like they’re 12.
