One of my dad’s coworkers is perhaps Old Economy Steve incarnate. Claims because he “pulled himself up by his bootstraps”, he deserves the world handed to him on a silver platter.
Dad’s boss even said “You got the job because you knew people in here” and he still believes he pulled himself up by his bootstraps.
