People Share The Worst Cases of Entitlement They’ve Ever Seen

74. Shut it, Karen

I think this is more stubbornness than entitlement, but about 10 years ago I was working at a store, and a woman with the “I’d like to speak to your manager” haircut came in.

She was looking at a $300 item and I can’t remember how it happened but I wound up telling her that it was something like $5 less than the actual price.

She goes to purchase it and it rings up at the normal price, and her haircut wasn’t having any of that. It took about 20 minutes, 3 store managers, an entire cashier line being shut down during Christmas, and me almost getting fired to get her that item at $5 off.
