All of Them Were In On It
“Magic” tricks in Paris. Just outside of Moulin Rouge. Me and my brother. A group of people was gathered, around 15, and betting on which coin had the white symbol. Three coins were available. Before betting everything was easy, there were people earning small amounts of money, and I was guessing all outcomes correctly.
A dude next to me asked me if I wanted to bet with him, to reduce the risk. I said no, but decided to bet alone. $100 bet. I lost. I was 16-years-old at the time, and all my vacation money was spent in 10 seconds. Only later I realized: all 15 of them were part of the scam.
