Spotting It
During the officer’s explanation, the couch moved. It drew everyone’s attention, and their lights were flashed toward it. “Please tell me you see that,” Ben whispered.
The cushions were being moved up and down by something inside the couch. It was a big shake that shook the whole sofa. An officer pointed at the kitchen door and said, “I think there’s more than one of them,” as a scaly tail disappeared into the couch.
